If you judge me by my friends I’M GOOD to a North Carolina 30th birthday trip with my best friends from then, from now, from the actual literal 80’s & 90’s. My ride or die wives for life I’m pretty sure I’d be dead/nothing/lost without you.

Still dreaming of waking up in this golden space. You know I’ve been in the habit of painting shapes on walls and this is a lovely application of the idea. A warm mustard circle above the bed yet dipped down enough to be one sun & moon-like entity you sleep under. || Dani Nagel’s L.A. home in @archdigest ||

Scenes from a garden amid finding homemade solutions including 3 for a midnight critter invasion. Squirrels and chipmunks are cute until they dig up you’re produce. Oh Kale no! 1: Placed an upside down tomato cage atop a terra-cotta pot, cut off the excess wire legs, and tied netting around it. 2: Flipped a metal crate over and placed it over a small batch of sprouted kale seedlings. 3: Added a hot pepper mixture to the perimeter of plants to deter animals. 4: Made a few holes in the bottom of an empty coffee can, added rocks, soil, and planted green onions in it. 5: Made indoor plant labels out of tooth picks and post-it’s.

2 ways to use eggshells in your garden with a side of murder musings are in my stories today and I love saying watching stories because it’s what Mummum would call it when Poppop watched his soap operas every afternoon and that’s adorable, so I’m glad it’s back in the vernacular again. For those curious his favorites were The Young and the Restless and I think The Bold and the Beautiful. My stepmom, sisters, and I were more Guiding Light and As The World Turns people, but hey, potato potato.

Grateful for grass and sunshine and DOGS and National Parks and spring and the current health of my family and the (hopefully continued) safety of my loved ones and for each and every one of you who are staying home to keep us safe. For the heroes working to keep us safe, healthy, and fed. My genuine heartfelt love is going out to you all today or tomorrow or whenever you’re having a tough moment and need solidarity and connection. We are in this together. I type that knowing my privilege means I can not truly know the struggle of so many like healthcare workers separated from their babies, family members apart from beloved ill patients, parents of special needs children, and so many more beautiful humans suffering right now. I salute you all and as much as we can be, we are in this together.
