Gracie update: It's been a long, hard month with many scares and emergencies. We are all sleep-deprived and exhausted but after having a malignant tumor removed from her chest & armpit on the 5th, Gracie is finally cone & stitch-free now. The hardest & biggest scare was this past weekend right after stitches & suture removal. Grace got violently ill and was contorting her body strangely. Our observations and an emergency vet visit confirmed that at best case it was an obstruction (could be deadly if not caught and often needs emergency surgery) or worst case, we feared her liver was failing. Sonograms show us her liver has major issues and her symptoms aligned with that. It has stopped, meaning it was most likely an obstruction that worked its way through. Can't put into words how horrible it was but all I can say is I think/hope we are safe for now and I'm holding her TIGHT AF. *Dog parents, if you're dog wants to eat & drink but can't keep anything down, it could be an obstruction, be careful & take your dog to the vet ASAP.
