Endometriosis ripped into every aspect of my life and I’m working very hard to slowly rebuild myself, my life, my career, almost a year out of receiving the gold standard of care. I’ve changed my city, my diet, my whole life to be able to heal and I’m celebrating every little victory along the way. But it’s still very hard. Much harder for girls and women less privileged and supported than I.
March is International Women’s Month & very appropriately Endometriosis Awareness Month, as the debilitating disease affects 1 in 10 women. 1 in 10 women have Endo, yet the U.S. only donates $1 per patient to research a year. Let’s change that with awareness, trusting women, and believing our pain. Who do you know that’s?
