Side Plank is a personal favorite pose of mine because it is one of the first poses that I got into that really made me feel like I can do yoga. I was coming from a long road of a health battle involving a (MAJOR) balance issue, so when I first nailed Side Plank pose, it made me feel strong and balanced for the first time in a long time. Side Plank strengthens your arms, stomach, and legs, and improves your sense of balance. (Yes, please.) It’s a pose you might find yourself smiling in, because it feels so powerful breathing into the side stretch, lifting your powerful hips, reaching your strong arm up for a satiating stretch, taking up the space you need to breath, to be present, and to be strong.
