1: Placed an upside down tomato cage atop a terra-cotta pot, cut off the excess wire legs, and tied netting around it. 
2: Flipped a metal crate over and placed it over a small batch of sprouted kale seedlings. 
3: Added a hot pepper mixture to the perimeter of plants to deter animals.
4: Made a few holes in the bottom of an empty coffee can, added rocks, soil, and planted green onions in it.
5: Made indoor plant labels out of tooth picks and post-it’s.
